5 Clothing Items That Are Best Worn Over Again- Investment Pieces

Over the years I’ve learned the benefits of less is more. There are few items that I still have years after years. They’re investment pieces because, well they are an investment price. I would not consider myself as a minimalist but if there’s no need for me to purchase another of something then I won’t. Here are a few examples:

Shoes:
I am biased about shoes. I am such a shoe girl! I hight recommend on investing on a good quality pair that fits your personal style bueacse shoes can last you for years. In addition to that, they can be repaired, shined, re-finished- you name it. A few timeless styles include riding boots, loafers, pumps and ballet flats.

Coats:
I wrote an entire blog post about coats. A quality one will take you miles. I love a longer silhouette because they are timeless. My tip is to buy off season (ie. a beautiful coat in the summer time, trust me it is worth it once winter rolls around).

Handbags:
This one is kind of controversial. Some people are really tuned off by designer bags. Which is ok. But, a quality handbag does not need a flashy logo. I remember borrowing a classic leather coach bag from my mom (that she still has from yearsss ago). All it had was a small leather Coach tag on the side. The most beautiful bag that I’ve every seen. So yes, today you see a lot of logos but don’t forget about the understated classics.

Denim:
There is nothing like a solid pair of jeans. Brands such a Levi’s are gold and in my opinion I’m not sure if there are many other brands that beat them longevity wise. The best part is that I’ve found my favorite pair from the thrift. Outlets and Ebay are also a great place to find denim.

Long Sleeve Tees:
Think capsule wardrobe. I chose long sleeves versus short sleeves because I personally think that they are more versatile and can be worn every single season (even chilly summer nights thrown on over your tank). When you find your favorite, purchase it in every single neutral color available. It’s easy, simple, but very put together.  Opt for tees with a bit of stretch and maybe and even hint of silkiness to them. They look so chic with anything.
